Changing Everything…

Life tends to throw little wrenches into all of your plans. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad.

I had a completely different post set for today. I was going to talk about my 1950’s inspired diet plan, part of my plan to live a little more vintage. This plan was to take a step to get healthier when my husband and I planned out move back to Washington, and why we tried to get pregnant.

I honestly thought it would take longer… I thought I had more time to plan a little better but surprises, or wrenches, don’t really care.

Well, two weeks ago, the pregnancy test was positive and our plans are changing. When my husband told me he was finally ready to start a family, I only had one stipulation. I wanted to move back home as soon as we become pregnant.

The Move…

Instead of moving back in the spring we are moving in only 38 days because if we waiting then my entire pregnancy would be spent here. Like I said, my only stipulation was that we go home as soon as we become pregnant. I want to experience this with my mom, dad, and all the other family we have in Washington.

I know this seems a bit fast but to be fair, we moved to Nevada in only 14 days. 38 days actually sounds like a breeze compared to that.

The Baby…

Yes, we were trying but I didn’t think it would be that fast. I had a chemical pregnancy in July, a regular cycle in August and then at 12 days late the test was positive in September. We had our confirmation appointment last week and there is a baby in there. 😂

The Blog

The original path of this blog was supposed to be slow and steady. Lose a little weight by following my vintage lifestyle plan. Talk about trying to get pregnant as a Midlife Wife, because a baby at and after 40 years old is different that in your 20s.

Though this bog won’t follow my planned out path, it will still be a journey together.
