Fun Facts About Me

Why not start with a typical ice breaker, you know like when we were kids and the teacher made us stand up to introduce ourselves. These are some questions I found on the internet that might help you get to know me.

  1. What time do you wake up in the morning?
    • Anywhere between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., I get up before my husband to make his coffee and lunch for work. On the days I work I also get stuff ready for myself.
  2. Beach, city, or country?
    • If I could chose, if we had the money, I would pick country. I want a mini farm. Nothing huge but a little homestead would be amazing!
  3. What is your favorite season?
    • Not summer! Spring is ok but where I really thrive is autumn and winter. Autumn and Winter are, in my opinion, the best time of year.
  4. What in your favorite food?
    • I love food and I don’t really have a favorite. I have a favorite food category. I cook almost every night and I’d have to say homemade comfort food is my favorite.
  5. What’s your favorite kind of music?
    • Any music really. Country, jazz, rock, oldies, pop, dubstep… I really just like everything.
  6. Do you have pets?
    • Yes. We have Thor, our cat, and Baby, our dog. Thor is around 15 years old and we’ve had him for all of those 15 years. Baby is a new addition, we adopted her from a rescue in April of 2026. As far as the vet can tell she is around 4 years old, had at least 2 litters in the puppy mill she was rescued from, and didn’t have a great life for those first 4 years. About a year before we adopted Baby we had 2 other pets named Lucy and Penelope… maybe I’ll talk about them later.
  7. What is the furthest place you have traveled?
    • Cancun Mexico. Yearly trips to a all inclusive resort. Love love love it.
  8. What are you travel goals?
    • France, Italy, Spain, and Ireland.
  9. Do you collect anything?
    • Anything old. I Love Lucy and Golden Girls memorabilia. I love antiquing and thrifting for anything made before 2005. I am one of those “elder millennials” that want to live like its the early 2000s, 90s, 80s, and 70s.
  10. Why start a blog?
    • Honestly, to work out some stuff in my life and share how I’m navigating starting what most people start in their 20s in my ‘Midlife’.
